At INCITE, Kathy serves as a subject matter expert in clinical practice and organizational health. With nearly 40 years of experience in the behavioral health field, Kathy is a leading expert in advancing clinical excellence. She supports client projects related to sustainability, grants, clinical pathways and processes, and retention and recruitment. Prior to becoming a consultant, Kathy spent 26 years in the community mental health field. She began as a direct care worker, then advanced through roles as a case manager, intake clinician, and ultimately into leadership positions. Over the past 12 years, Kathy has worked as a consultant with numerous agencies across the behavioral health continuum. She has extensive experience working with SAMHSA grantees on integrated health and CCBHC projects and has contributed to technical assistance centers. Kathy has supported agencies in developing models for expanded access, crisis response and stabilization, and implementing evidence-based practices. She specializes in clinical and operational workflow optimization and has worked closely with agencies to develop and implement electronic medical records and data-driven decision-making systems. Kathy holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University.
